2 week_Learning and Processing

Good morning NOVAs,
I will be very short this time:

What I'va learned this week:
This week was a mix of different feelings, the excitement of the presentation day, where I was amazed by the quality and the consistency of our independent researches; the frustration of the the last 2 days where we worked unproductively  because we did not really understand the target of the story.
So the things I learned are:
1. Our differences are our primary resource to draw on in order to have a broad perspective on the topic we will work on.
2. Always be sure that the fundamental concept are clear.

What I think of the process:
As I said was an intense week, the process  worked well. I like the individual research and also the reiteration processes that go on during the week. The sunnyfriday was for me a good way not only to create connections but also to install in the people the curiosity toward this new global movement of NOVA, I must admit that the storytelling background really helped me in being a successful storyteller :)

In conclusion, I think this first week was very good to understand better where we are going and understand each other better from a practical point of view. The tensions we have faced and the arguments we went through taught us that will not be, as expected, all sunshine and rainbows but at the same time strengthen our team consciousness.

Best,
Andrea

  1. Italiano!! I think you summarized the whole week well when you said that it is our differences and how we draw from it that will ultimately determine the feasibility of each module in the toolbox. It is also important, as you've said, to be sure on what is it that we're working on just to make sure everybody is on the same page. Last but not least, I'm sure that we will all have many more disagreements along the way. It is unavoidable in a diverse group such as ours. The important thing is to not take things personally. Remember, we are evaluating the ideas and suggestions made on its merit and not criticizing the person. Having debates and disagreements only mean that we finally have the opportunity to find that common ground that we can all agree on ;)

  2. I must agree with you italiano! Going through the storytelling process was a very good exercise pre-sunny friday. Specially because we got to use that learning on the process of persuading and engaging people about the work we've been doing here. They want to know more and participate.
